So, how does our technology work?
Governments and industry spend more than USD $5.7 billion yearly to control unwanted marine biofouling*.
For decades, microbiologists, environmental, biomedical, and chemical engineers have invested time trying to understand and then devise mechanisms in attempt to control microbial adhesion.
Our technology is the latest evolution of an environmentally sound, well proven, best of breed solution that can be cost effectively and safely deployed into plant to combat scaling and biofouling without interfering with industrial processes.

The concepts
In each Sonicguard deployment we use a different range of unique ultransonic transducers to send out bursts of ultrasonic energy in a range of targeted pulse frequencies. The frequencies and pulse periods vary by industry depending on the scaling or fouling problem.
When our transducers are attached to the dry side of an asset the transducers produce a pattern of decreasing and increasing ultrasound pressure on the opposing surface. This process causes thousands of tiny bubbles to develop, grow and then implode. The implosion creates a mini-vortex, leading to agitation in the area, which stops surface contaminants from adhering to the wet side and provides a continual cleansing effect.
"Sonicguard's antifouling technology is environmentally friendly, quick and simple to deploy and gives a fast return on investment"
